There are many ways children have been affected in India due to the COVID-19 crisis.

1. Learning loss: Even before the pandemic, developing countries like India were dealing with a learning crisis in low to middle income families. Due to school closures in the pandemic, the learning crisis has intensified.

2. Basic necessities: In many places, children do not even have basic necessities that every child deserves for a decent livelihood.

3. Overall well-being: The priorities of families have changed during the pandemic and children are not getting the proper wellness support that they should be getting. Families are moving into survival mode as the pandemic continues.
